About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chancellor to lead its dynamic, diverse institution. The successful candidate will be a transformational, collaborative leader with a strong commitment to the community college mission. Responsibilities include shaping the future of the college, fostering an inclusive environment, and engaging with all stakeholders to address challenges and create opportunities. The Chancellor will be expected to lead long-range strategic planning, strengthen student enrollment and retention, seek funding opportunities, and manage the budget effectively. Building and nurturing strong relationships with the community, businesses, and government entities is also a key aspect of the role. Applicants for the Chancellor position at the company should possess a master's degree or equivalent advanced degree, with a minimum of 5 years' managerial experience, including at least 3 years' as a senior executive in a large and complex organization. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in leading and managing change, supporting innovation, and ensuring the financial stability of the institution. They must demonstrate a deep understanding of the changing landscape of higher education, a commitment to social justice, and a focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion. The role requires exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work effectively with a locally elected Board of Trustees.
