We are actively seeking a dedicated and skilled Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join our team, providing invaluable support to schools through our staffing company. As a SLPA, you will work closely with licensed Speech-Language Pathologists to assist in the treatment of students with speech and language delays.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with Speech-Language Pathologists to implement individualized education plans (IEP’s) designed to address communication challenges and enhance speech and language skills.
Work directly with students, both individually and in group settings, to provide speech therapy interventions based on established treatment goals.
Assist in conducting screenings and assessments to identify students with speech and language disorders.
Implement therapy activities and exercises designed to improve articulation, language, and social communication skills.
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to integrate speech therapy goals into the overall educational plan.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student performance.
Assist in the preparation and organization of materials for therapy sessions.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree (preferred) or Associate's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program from an accredited institution.
Valid Arizona Department of Health Services licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
Previous experience in a school setting is desirable.
Ability to work collaboratively with licensed Speech-Language Pathologists and adapt to various work environments.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Reliable transportation to travel between school locations, if indicated.
