Opening in late 2024, the Grand Hyatt Deer Valley Hotel is in the famed Deer Valley ski resort and approximately 40 minutes from the Salt Lake City International Airport. The Grand Hyatt Deer Valley Hotel is part of a new development, planned to incorporate 17 ski lifts, ±1,600 residential units, 8 hotels with a total of ±1,350 rooms, ±250,000 square feet of conference and retail space, and one of the largest “ski beaches” in the world.

The Grand Hyatt is comprised of 381 rooms, including 22 suites with approximately 25,900 square feet of net indoor meeting space, lobby level 3-meal restaurant and bar, signature bar, pool/après ski bar and grill, coffee bistro, large outdoor event terrace, pool and 3 whirlpools, kids club, and fitness area. In addition to the Hotel, there will be 55 condominium residences.

The Grand Hyatt Deer Valley is hiring for a Spa Manager that will oversee the entire Spa function. This will include retail, a full-service Spa, and Camp Hyatt. The primary role of the Spa manager is to ensure optimum guest and employee satisfaction and to ensure impeccable service quality, and driving revenue growth. This position requires a comprehensive knowledge of all spa positions and their function, and includes furthering guest relations, managing payroll, scheduling, promoting safety and sanitation, and other administrative duties for applicable departments that the spa manager will oversee. The spa manager must understand and apply relevant state regulations.

Qualifications

Director of Spa & Retail

This position reports directly to the Director of Rooms – It is not a Leadership Executive position.

As the Director of this department you will…

• Ensure the spa operation runs properly, smoothly and professionally on a daily basis.
• Contribute to work on sales and marketing plans and programs, attend weekly sales and marketing meetings.
• Strong understanding of spa treatments, therapies, and customer service standards.
• Monitor standard check list are done daily as to SOP.
• Conduct daily staff briefings, reviewing the previous day’s customer comments and operations points.
• Coordinate with other departments for promotions and special projects when needed.
• Make decision regarding discounts and complimentary items and treatments.
• Responsible to monitor retail and stock levels.
• Ensure all spa staff has updated information on hotel events, promotions and staff activities.
• Plan, organize, and implement a variety of activities for children, including arts and crafts, nature exploration, cultural experiences, and recreational play for the Camp Hyatt program.
• Collaborate with resort departments to enhance the overall guest experience by integrating resort-specific amenities into the Camp Hyatt program.
• Ability to design and implement fun, creative, and educational activities that align with the Camp Hyatt program.
• A genuine love for outdoor activities, nature, and working with children in recreational settings for the Camp Hyatt Brand.
• Maintain and enhance the spa and retail locations reputation for delivering exceptional guest experiences.
