Scaffolder – Fabrication Yard Job Summary

The Scaffolder is responsible for the safe and efficient erection, maintenance, and dismantling of scaffolding structures within the fabrication yard. This role requires the ability to assemble scaffolding to support construction, welding, and other operations while ensuring that all work complies with safety regulations and project specifications. The Scaffolder must work closely with other team members to ensure that scaffolding is available when needed and is built to the required standards.

Scaffolder – Fabrication Yard Responsibilities 

• Erect, modify, and dismantle scaffolding structures in accordance with project specifications, safety guidelines, and industry standards.
• Ensure all scaffolding work adheres to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations. Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow safety protocols during all scaffolding operations.
• Inspect scaffolding structures regularly to ensure they are safe, stable, and compliant with safety regulations. Report any defects or concerns to the Scaffolding Supervisor.
• Handle scaffolding materials and tools with care, ensuring proper storage and maintenance of all equipment. Report any equipment malfunctions or damage to supervisors.
• Work closely with other scaffolders, welders, riggers, and construction teams to coordinate scaffolding needs for various projects and ensure scaffolding structures are installed as needed.
• Ensure scaffolding is assembled with correct load-bearing capabilities to support tools, workers, and materials required for the project.
• Identify and resolve any issues with scaffolding placement or stability, ensuring that all structures are secure and meet required specifications.

Scaffolder – Fabrication Yard position Requirements 

• Minimum of 2-4 years of experience as a scaffolder, preferably within a fabrication yard, construction, or industrial environment.
• Proficiency in erecting, modifying, and dismantling scaffolding structures safely and efficiently.
• Valid Scaffolder Certification (CISRS, SAIA, or equivalent).
• Safety certifications (e.g., OSHA, NEBOSH) are preferred.
