Job Opportunity: RN: L&D Postpartum in Los Angeles CA 90015

• Position: RN: L&D Postpartum
• Location: Los Angeles CA 90015
• Pay Rate: $64$65/hour
• Gross Weekly: $2438.94/week
• Shift: Days 3 12 hour shifts per week. EOW first to float
• Work Week: 36 hours per week
• Duration: 13 weeks

Unit Guidelines/Policies:

• Unit: Postpartum
• # Postpartum beds: 30 beds
• # births per day per year: 3300 births per year
• Certs: NRP and BLS required
• Ratios: 1 to 4 couplet care
• FHM System: Fetal Link
• EMR: Cerner
• Charge Nurse: Yes they take a patient assignment if needed
• Nurse Aides/OB tech: yes depends on census (12 usually)
• Weekend Requirement: Every other
• Call Requirement: No call required
• Holidays: one major and one minor
• Scrub Color: Navy
• Tele: Nihon Kohden
• Vents: No OB/Neonatologist in house: OB attending 24 hrs
• IV Team: No
• RT 24/7: Yes
• Pharmacy 24/7: Yes
• Shifts: 12 hrs 77
• Floating: Will float to NICU to care for feeders and growers
• Floor specific orientation: 3 shifts on unit
• Common diagnosis / Types of patients: 20 weeks and above high risk blood pressure multiples diabetes no prenatal care Substance abuse no gyn surgeries on postpartum
• Additional Notes: 13th Largest center for births in California must have 4 years experience or more working postpartum travel experience is preferred

• 12 hour Day shift

Ability to Relocate:

• Los Angeles CA 90015 Relocate before starting work (Required)

Work Location : In person

Requirements :

• RN CA State License
• BLS NRP
• BSN Required: NO
• Need 2 sup refs (charge accepted) at submittal; 1 w/in 12 mo. & 1 w/in 3 years worked
• 4 years of Experience in Post Partum Unit
• ACUTE CARE EXP.(RECENT)
• Good communication skills.
