Job Title: Pharmacy Technician

Location: Pittsburgh, PA (On-Site)

Job Overview:

A Pharmacy Technician is essential in supporting the processing and management of medication orders for patients. The role includes coordinating with healthcare providers, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist pharmacists with the preparation, packaging, and distribution of prescriptions.
  
• Communicate effectively with healthcare providers to obtain prescription clarifications.
  
• Manage and maintain accurate patient records, including medication profiles and insurance information.
  
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, policies, and procedures.
  
• Verify patient data for accuracy and resolve any discrepancies.
  
• Support the team in maintaining an organized and efficient work environment.
  
• Assist with inventory management, including the ordering and stocking of supplies.
  
• Provide exceptional customer service and support to patients and healthcare providers.
  

Requirements

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; pharmacy technician certification is preferred.
  
• Prior experience as a pharmacy technician, preferably in a specialty or high-volume pharmacy setting.
  
• Strong knowledge of medical and pharmacy terminology.
  
• Proficiency in data entry and basic computer applications.
  
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  
• Commitment to patient confidentiality and adherence to HIPAA regulations.
