Instrumental String and Chorus Music Teacher
Position:
The successful candidate will have the skills necessary to effectively:
•teach music appreciation, harmony and explorations in music,
provide instrumental string instruction to elementary, intermediate and high school students,
•direct the Districts combined Elementary/Intermediate/High School Orchestra,
•teach an evening rehearsal once a week to the "District" beginning and advanced orchestra,
•interact positively with students of all ages, colleagues, parents, and parent booster groups,
•provide evening school, community and district performances as appropriate to the position,
•provide string technique inservice support for colleagues during District School Improvement days or staff development meetings,
•teach choral music at elementary and intermediate school levels.
Qualifications:
•A valid California Credential authorizing music instruction (grade levels K-12)
•Bilingual skills are highly desirable

RUSD is seeking dynamic instructional leaders who exhibit the following:
•Knowledge of music theory
•Experience with general elementary Music, singing, different instruments, and methods
•Strong classroom management strategies and skills
•Strong pedagogical skills
•Breadth of experience in educational technology
•Instruction with a 21st-century perspective
