About the Role

The Company is seeking a Managing Director for its U.S. Politics and Policy Research team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a nonpartisan team that conducts in-depth survey research on U.S. public attitudes toward politics and public policy. This includes regular polls on political and policy issues, major surveys on social issues, and long-term studies of trends in values, partisanship, ideology, and social attitudes. The role demands a strategic vision, intellectual thought leadership, and a strong background in the U.S. politics and policy landscape, particularly in areas such as polarization, trust, and values. The Managing Director will also be a key spokesperson, engaging with the media, the public, and stakeholders across the political spectrum. Applicants for the Managing Director position should have at least 15 years of professional experience in a relevant field, with a proven track record of expertise in U.S. politics and policy. A background in survey research, and social science, and experience in managing a team in a dynamic, fast-paced environment are essential. The role requires a commitment to the highest principles of transparency, accountability, and a nonpartisan, nonadvocacy approach to research. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the mission of the organization, the ability to translate complex research into accessible narratives, and a dedication to the values of the institution.
