JOB LOCATION: San Jose, CA

POSITION TITLE: Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) Specialist

STATUS/HOURS: Part-Time Weekend Shifts

Swing Shift Position- Saturday & Sunday 10PM-6AM

Pay Rate: $30 Hourly

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) Operator is responsible for monitoring alarms, surveillance systems, and all access control measures in the GSOC. The GSOC Operator will execute day-to-day activities in the Global Security Operations Center and will dispatch security officers as necessary to respond to various incidents. The GSOC Operator collaborates with cross-functional partners on crisis response, emergency coordination, and business information and intelligence sharing. The GSOC Operator should demonstrate an adept ability to provide support to business partners during disruptions and managing the escalation and communication to leadership.

 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Monitoring alarms, surveillance systems, and all access control measures in the GSOC.
  • Provide superior customer service-focused security.
  • Secure and protect company assets; people, facilities, and property, as listed in order of priority.
  • Respond to emergency situations with a sense of urgency, professionalism, and maintain open communication flow with management and key leaders.
  • Dispatch officers to calls for service, such as alarm follow up, customer assistance, client requests, emergencies, suspicious persons, and incidents.
  • Conduct various audits such as parking lot, duress alarms, callboxes, and door checks.
  • Proactive monitoring of security cameras, access control, and alarms.
  • Complete incident reports and assist with investigations.
  • Liaison with public safety agencies and their dispatch centers.
  • Participate in interactive training exercises between field officers and operations center operators.
  • Investigate alarms with the assistance of security patrol and facilities.
  • Assist with administration of access badges.
  • Analyze & review video to support security operations.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

COMPUTER KNOWLEDGE:

  • Required – Google Suite, MS Office proficient, Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.

  • Proven work experience within a dispatch or security operations center.
  • Ability to prioritize workload based on urgency.
  • Demonstrated analytic and critical thinking skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to ensure compliance, monitoring of assets, and making rapid notifications via mass communication tools.
  • Honed communication skills in both verbal and written form.
  • Experience analyzing and making decisions with data as it pertains to operations.
  • Experience making decisions under pressure / stress.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, independent, and responsive.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
