Description Family Advocate I - Toledo Office- 13th Street 34 hours per week, Monday - Thursday 7:30-4:30pm Associate degree - $21.12 per hour; bachelor's degree $21.83 per hour Summary: Coordinate and implement the daily activities in the areas of Parent, Family, and Community Engagement (PFCE), Program Design and Management, Early Childhood Development and Health Services.

Education: Required Associate Degree in early childhood education, social work, family services or related field.
Experience: One to three years experience in social services or adult education; up to one year experience with word processing, spreadsheet, internet, and database software.

- Initial and periodic Motor Vehicle Records checks, maintain a valid driver's license, and maintain a safe driving record.
- Must have insured, dependable transportation available for daily use.
- Must submit to initial and periodic drug and alcohol testing.
- Initial and periodic physical exams required.
- Must submit to state and/or federal criminal checks.
- Family Advocates for Contracted Childcare or Family Child Care - Ability to be reached by cellular phone during business hours and after hours.
Duties and Responsibilities: - Responsible for implementing and monitoring the following: Early Childhood Development and Health Services, Parent, Family, and Community Engagement (PFCE), Program Design and Management, and ERSEA plans.
- Maintain accurate recruitment, enrollment, referral tracking records, parent roster, class lists, change of status, in-kind records, children's files and any other documentation required by each program in the areas of Parent, Family, and Community Engagement (PFCE), Program Design and Management, Early Childhood Development and Health Services.
- Conduct home visits as required for all families as assigned; visit families in the home to ensure on-going contact with the family; complete required documentation; conduct as needed home visits for attendance, medical, or social service needs.
- Coordinate services using community resources; provide transportation and/or accompany families to community resources; provide follow-up services within 30 days of the recognized need of the family; advocate for early childhood and family development programs and services within the community.
- Ensure parent involvement activities are carried out at all program levels; assist Parent, Family, and Community Engagement Specialist and Coordinator with staff training in parent involvement areas.
- Plan, organize, and conduct required parent training, parenting sessions and assigned Parent Committee meetings; assist Parent Committee(s) with election and provide training of officers and Policy Council Representatives.
