The Concrete Construction Project Engineer is responsible for providing administrative support to the project management team, ensuring efficient organization, tracking, and reporting of project activities. This role plays a key part in supporting the construction team with documentation, scheduling, and communication, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and according to specified standards.

Key Responsibilities

Documentation & Record Keeping

• Maintain and organize project documents, including contracts, plans, permits, inspection reports, and change orders.

• Track all project-related documentation and ensure it's accessible and up-to-date for project stakeholders.

• Prepare and submit documentation for review, approval, and compliance with legal and safety standards.

Project Coordination & Scheduling

• Assist in the development and monitoring of project schedules, ensuring deadlines are met.

• Coordinate and communicate with team members, vendors, and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.

• Organize and schedule meetings, site visits, and inspections as required.

Budget and Financial Support

• Track project costs, labor hours, and material usage, reporting any discrepancies or budget concerns to the project manager.

• Prepare and maintain accurate project documentation, including daily logs, RFI (Request for Information) responses, and submittals.

• Support the project manager in identifying and resolving budget and resource issues to avoid delays or cost overruns.

Communication and Reporting

• Serve as the primary point of contact for project-related inquiries, facilitating communication between the project team, subcontractors, and clients.

• Generate and distribute daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.

• Attend project meetings, record meeting minutes, and follow up on action items.

Quality Control and Compliance

• Assist in the preparation of documentation, including inspection reports, change orders, and daily logs.

• Ensure all project activities comply with building codes, safety standards, and client specifications.

• Support the project team in monitoring quality standards, conducting site inspections, and documenting issues and resolutions.

• Track and document project progress and milestones, highlighting any deviations from the original plan.

Safety and Compliance

• Ensure all team members and subcontractors adhere to safety policies and OSHA regulations on the construction site.

Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Experience

• Proven experience in construction project coordination, with specific experience in concrete construction preferred.

Skills

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Proficient in construction management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project) and Microsoft Office Suite.

• Knowledge of construction processes, terminology, and industry standards

• Ability to handle multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work in a fast-paced environment.
