Southeastern Commercial Fence is seeking skilled and motivated Commercial Fence Installers to join our team. This role involves installing, repairing, and maintaining commercial and industrial fencing for a variety of clients, including construction sites, government projects, businesses, and high-security facilities. The ideal candidate is reliable, physically capable, and has a keen eye for precision.

As a Commercial Fence Installer , you will be responsible for working with various fencing materials, including chain-link, aluminum, vinyl, wood, and steel , while ensuring installations meet industry and company quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Installation & Maintenance

• Read and interpret blueprints, site plans, and work orders for accurate fence placement.
• Prepare job sites by measuring and marking fence locations.
• Dig post holes manually or using augers and set posts securely in concrete or dirt.
• Assemble and install chain-link, wood, vinyl, steel, and specialty fences for commercial projects.
• Install gates, locks, and access control mechanisms as required.
• Ensure fencing aligns correctly, is level, and meets specifications.

Safety & Compliance

• Follow OSHA and company safety protocols to prevent workplace injuries.
• Wear required protective gear (PPE) , including gloves, boots, and safety glasses.
• Secure job sites before, during, and after installation to prevent hazards.

Equipment & Tools

• Operate power tools, hand tools, saws, drills, and post drivers safely and efficiently.
• Maintain tools and equipment in proper working condition.
• Transport fencing materials and tools to and from job sites.

Teamwork & Communication

• Work collaboratively with team members, foremen, and project managers.
• Provide excellent customer service, ensuring client satisfaction with finished projects .
• Communicate effectively with supervisors about job progress, challenges, and material needs.

Requirements & Qualifications:

Experience & Skills

• 1+ years of experience in fence installation or a related construction trade (preferred but not required; training available).
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions (heat, cold, rain).
• Comfortable with heavy lifting (50+ lbs), digging, and working on uneven terrain .
• Experience operating hand and power tools , including augers, saws, and drills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a team environment .
• Basic understanding of construction math for measuring and layout.

Certifications & Training (Preferred but Not Required)

• OSHA 10 or 30 certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Forklift or heavy equipment operator certification is a plus.
• Commercial fencing or welding experience is an advantage.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Hourly Pay: $18 – $25 per hour (based on experience)
• Performance Bonuses based on project completion and quality
• Paid On-the-Job Training with industry experts (including apprenticeship opportunities)

*Fence installation techniques
*Safety procedures & OSHA compliance
*Advanced fence construction for security fencing & access control systems
* Foreman leadership training (for those advancing to leadership roles)

Foreman & Leadership Pathway:

• Installers with demonstrated skills and leadership potential will have the opportunity to become a Foreman after completing a shadowing period and earning a Foreman Sign-Off Certification .
