Job Description

The Kootznoowoo, Inc. Board of Directors is seeking qualified candidates for the position Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

The CEO is responsible for providing strategic leadership for the company by working with the Board of Directors and the Corporation’s Management Team to establish long-range goals, strategies, plans, and policies. The CEO will lead the corporation with an effective business strategy that optimizes growth and adheres to the mission and the corporate strategic plan. The CEO has responsibility for the staff, oversees initiatives, and makes operational decisions.

Key Functions

  • Establish credibility throughout the organization and with the Board as an effective developer of solutions to investment and business challenges.
  • Provide leadership and management to ensure that the company’s mission and core values are implemented.
  • Responsible for driving the company to achieve profitability, cash flow, business goals, and objectives.
  • Directly oversee all departments reporting to this position to ensure communication and implementation strategies are delivered for effective growth opportunities.
  • Maintain appropriate controls for cash receipts and payables, cash flow, inventory and other accounting and business procedures.
  • Ensure necessary and appropriate steps are taken to preserve the independent corporate existence of the Corporation and any of its subsidiaries.
  • Promote the image of the Corporation at all times and maintain corporate confidentiality, including, without limitation, executing, delivering, and performing the Corporation’s Standard Confidentiality Agreement.
  • Be available for all Board and Corporation Shareholders meetings and other corporate functions, and routinely attend meetings on behalf of the Corporation.
  • Collaborate with the Corporation’s Management Team to develop and implement plans for the operational infrastructure of systems, processes, and personnel designed to accommodate the organization’s growth objectives.
  • Motivate and lead a high-performance management team; attract, recruit, and retain required members of the executive team not currently in place; provide mentoring as a cornerstone to the management career development program.
  • Negotiate business contracts with lease companies as needed.
  • Foster a success-oriented, accountable environment within the organization.
  • Represent the organization with investors and business partners.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • Masters of Business Administration or other related field from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of ten years executive experience.
  • Experience with government contracting, mergers, acquisitions, and joint ventures.
  • Experience with Alaska Native Corporations (preferred).

  • Ability to work with Board of Directors, shareholders, employees, and external entities in a professional, respectful and collaborative manner.
  • Ability to foster and maintain professional relationships and contribute to a positive working environment.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug/alcohol screening.
  • Compliance with all employee policies.
  • Excellent written, verbal, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of computer hardware, software and other applications including but not limited to Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, etc.), and ERP software.
