About the Role
The Company is in search of a Chief Advancement Officer (CAO) to spearhead its strategic advancement efforts. The successful candidate will be a visionary and results-driven leader, responsible for developing and executing comprehensive strategies that drive revenue, increase donor engagement, and expand community involvement. This critical role involves collaborating with executive leadership and key departments to ensure the long-term sustainability of the organization through innovative fundraising and partnership initiatives. The CAO will also supervise a team and external development consultants, and must have a proven ability to manage high-level fundraising campaigns and establish a culture of philanthropy that supports the mission of the organization. Applicants for the CAO position at the company should have a passion for conservation, education, and community engagement, with a genuine commitment to the organization's mission. A minimum of 10 years' of progressive experience in nonprofit fundraising, with at least 5 years' in a senior leadership role, is required. The ideal candidate will have a track record of success in leading multi-faceted fundraising strategies, securing major gifts, and managing capital campaigns. Experience in donor data management, analysis, and a strong understanding of artificial intelligence in fundraising are also essential. The role demands exceptional leadership abilities, strong grant writing and corporate sponsorship negotiation skills, and a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field. A Master's degree is preferred.
